Chicago is the only place to be in the *early* months of winter - and especially in December. Christmas lights going up for the first time, there’s an energy all the way from South Shore to Rogers Park, and the ONLY thing that can stop us is too many of our favorite events happening at once in West Loop and Wicker Park. But THIS week - December 9th, 10th, 11th, AND 12th - lucky for us the only place we need to be is in Lakeview, right here at the Aragon Ballroom, for Twisted 2025, the radio station Q101’s premiere event! Deemed as the alternative rockers paradise, the line up this year included performances by Sublime, Cake, AJR, Yellowcard, AJR, and so many more who will be making their debut here at the Aragon. And the best thing about it all - we’ve got space for you and all your friends to come and enjoy the show, so won’t you ride with us in our sleigh tonight to the Ballroom??
Born straight out of Chicago’s alternative rock boom in the mid-90s, Q101’s Twisted Xmas has been a staple of the city’s December winter concert calendar for three decades long. What started out as a single-night holiday show thrown by local radio legends at Q101 soon exploded into a full-blown multi-night festival that all the biggest names in rock have found the stage with the new and upcoming local legends of our generation. Over the years, the Aragon Ballroom has hosted icons like The Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Foo Fighters, and Beck under the glowing “Twisted” banner — a December tradition that captures the raw, rebellious, and communal energy of Chicago’s rock scene. And now? We’ve got a WHOLE new line up of new comers ready to rock your noggin for a night of non stop bops. The 31st edition is here, and here are our starters and performers for each season!
